Okay - for all you MURPHEY fans. Fess up!!! I really would like to know who is voting and why. I prefer Mattingly and I am shocked so many like Murphey (I'm not sooo in love with it). Eric really likes it and I would hate for my husband to win!!! SOOOOO..... That being said leave your comments PLEASE!!!
Welcome to the Madsen Family Blog! Eric and I have been married for 12 wonderful years. We have 5 handsome little guys and 1 princess in our family. Eric is the head baseball coach at UVU. I am a full-time insurance agent for Banasky Insurance. I have the luxury of working out of my home where I also take on the roll of full-time mom, laundry woman and taxi chauffer! We feel absolutely blessed with a beautiful, healthy family.

Mick was named after the great Mickey Mantle. He loves baseball, basketball, baseball, football and baseball. He is the official bat-boy for the UV Wolverines and is an awesome example to his younger brothers and sister! We were definitely blessed with the "perfect" child... I can only pray that his brothers are as obedient and helpful as he is at this age. He is definitely one of my big sources of survival! He probably takes on too much as a 11 year old but he is the one that begged for 11 siblings!!! Ya... he watched Cheaper by the Dozen a few too many times!
Macee "Jo" (Joe DiMaggio) is "THE PRINCESS" of the Madsen home. She loves to dance, tumble and get her nails done (yes, pathetic for a 9 yr old). She is full of spunk and we are so lucky to have our "ONE PRINCESS." She is a huge help with her little brothers! She is an angel in our home. I love how kind hearted Macee is to EVERYONE!!! She is a peacemaker and friend to everyone... I also love that she LOVES to drop everything and go shop with her mom!!!
This is our Maddux (Greg Maddux). He has turned out to be a wonderful little man. I say that because he really struggled through the terrible 2's. He idolizes his older brother and also LOVES baseball. I love Maddie's gorgeous smile and his sparkling blue eyes!!!
McGwire (yes, Mark McGwire - pre-steroid mind you). Absolute personality. He is a spit-fire with enough personality for the entire world. He can make you laugh one second and make you curse the next. I love the way he will always want to be snuggled before he falls asleep. I think in order for him to go to sleep... he has to rub my face... We Loooooove GWIRE!
Mays (Willie Mays), is the toddler of the house. He entered the terrible twos when he started walking at one and we are PRAYING that he grows out of them. For those of you who know him you understand. He has been an absolute blessing in our home. Although he is giving us a run for our money now... he was a wonderful baby!!! I love watching him mimick everything his older brothers do (kinda). I love his natural curls on his head and his big happy blue eyes!
Murphy is the 6th and final Madsen. Although he was the product of a "vasectomy gone bad" we would not trade him for the world. We are soooooo blessed to have him in our home! He is named after the great Dale Murphy (a Utah boy). He turned 2 the end of March and looks like he is going to try harder every day to keep up with the older brothers! I love his little head of red... and his "thunder thighs!"

Hi Jessica!! You're so funny.... I love the name Mattingly for you guys. I hope it wins!! By the way, can I just tell you how much your comment on my blog meant to me today??!! You don't even know.... I had such a yukky day, and I couldn't get rid of the SICK feeling in my stomach. What a sweetheart you are..... YES, I consider you a friend!! I loved that you wrote that..... After I left your house the other night, I felt the same way. I loved how down to earth you are...and I feel like I can relate to someone with young kids close in age...and full of life!! :o) I feel so lucky right now to have such great friends and family....and when I read your comment today, it made me cry!! It meant the world to me.... Thank you.

You are so cute. I am so glad to hear you are doing better. I too think we are so dang much alike. I told Eric tonight that I plan on calling in a couple days and we can have a lunch date at McDonalds. I said, "How pathetic is it that my lunch dates are at McD's?" It's just a mom thing. I think our boys could totally tear things up together!!! We will have to make a plan.
I would love that!! ....and it's NOT pathetic to have lunch dates at McDonald's!! I love it there!! ha ha plus, it's so much better to not have to clean our own houses to get ready for a play date!! ha ha Call me....It'll be so much fun. My kids would positively love it, and so would I!! Thank you!!
Sorry to comment AGAIN, but I had your blog up on the screen...and Bo came running up to me yelling, "YANKEES!!" and pointing to your blog!! He asked if there was Yankees music...whatever that is!! ha ha I thought you'd get a kick out of that. I told you....My kids might not be the smartest at "school stuff", but they know their sports logos. Yikes....
Ok...I haven't voted yet on the name. I'm nervous and can't make a final decision! The thing is...I really like Mattingly...but I really want to call him "Murph". I tickles me and makes me smile to say "Murph"...whatever. Anyway...I'm still considering...but throw the word "Murph" around a few times a day and see how it feels! LOVE YOU!
