Beware... long post!!!

So... it's been awhile since I posted pictures and I just totally unloaded the camera. Grandma Kaye and Grandpa Lydell surprised Maddux and came up to his last game (which he thinks was the Championship game) on Tuesday night. Because my dad is now working the weekend shift they were able to spend the night. The boys spent hours looking at all their Disneyland books and pictures with them!! Grandpa must have thought it was boring!!!

This was the boys after Mick got home from practice last night. Maddux wore Mick's "other" pads for a half hour before he finally got home!
This was the championship game. Maddux played awesome. We giggled because he was usually lucky to score 1 basket a game and sometimes maybe.. just maybe 2 but not this night. He must have been showing off for his fans that came to watch because he scored 14 points!!! Both sets of grandparents and good ol' Grandpa Pete came so support Mad Dog!!! All my pictures turned out pretty bad. My settings must have been bad. If there was any movement at all it was fuzzy. I just had to post this one because he plays with his tongue hanging out!!!! Besides, this was the last game and I had taken 0 pictures so far!!!

Grandma Vic wrestling with Gwire!!!

Daddy getting in some laughs with Murphy kicking back!
Maddog and his buddy Wacky and their medals and tickets!!!
Maddog
Maddux's cute friend Wack!
So this is Mick's idea of babysitting. He gets out the "dumby" controller and Murph thinks e is playing PS2!! What is this kid going to turn into starting this young?
I know.... another picture on the couch. This is 5 minutes after Eric returned from his road trip. They all miss their daddy so much. But not as much as me!!!
Murph's new favorite cabinet... of course it's the cleaning cabinet!!! I never had to buy the locks but it looks like I may have to sooner than later!
I just thought this was sweet. The boys love to read before bedtime with Eric!
McGwire's first musical performance... As a mother you should always be so proud of this moment right? So I am not proud of the choice of musical number but he is stinkin cute!!! I would lie if I said that I don't have this song on my Ipod (which is where he gets the lyrics) because yes... I like the beat.. Not a Katy Perry fan but love the beat!!! Anyway, I figure as long as I have a house full of boys under 5 they can sing, "I kissed a girl..." starring McGwire Madsen...

So the second cute video would be the Murph man.... We bought these squeaky shoes which I am IN LOVE with. I know... many of you are thinking "why the heck would you buy your kids shoes that squeak?" You should see how excited he gets... this video doesn't do it justice. He will talk with them, grin from ear to ear and guess what... I think they are stinkin cute so if anyone is interested we found a lady here in Lehi that carries TONS of different ones and they are cheaper than what you can find almost anywhere. $11.99 a pair!!!

There you go.... Sorry for such an overload. Macee does her Trio for the first time out at the barn tonight around 8 if anyones interested. It's free tonight so.... Otherwise, they do their Hip Hop routine Sat morning at 9 and then they will do their 5 routines later that evening somtime after 6. I am super excited to see what these girls have put together for us this weekend!!! Go Hot SHOTS!!

Also - Eric is down at SUU for a 3 game series. They went 1-2 last weekend so Eric is hoping for 2-1. GO WOLVERINES!!!

Bitter Sweet.....

Is it really here? The season we all wait for (okay so the season my family lives and dies by)? Yes, my dear husband left me this morning for a long road trip to Portland to face off with the University of Oregon. I was sad, happy, mortified, had butterflies... you name it... all the emotions. Happy for him... sad to be a widower... mortified to think of doing it on my own for 3 months... butterflies for the first game... nervous for Eric. I feel like with this being the first year as head coach he has alot of pressure and expectations and I feel for the guy.

I know he has done everything in his powers, mentally and physically, to prepare himself and his club for this season so GO WOLVERINES!!! Tomorrow I will post a link in which you can listen to games online if anyone is interested (ok - UVU baseball not that big of a thing) Oh well, it is at our house. I love ya.... good luck... can't wait to see you home!!!

My little Man!!!

Okay... a little frustrated at the moment because I was just ready to publish this post and rather than center this great... big... huge... long... opening paragraph I deleted the darn thing... so since it's 1:30 and I don't have the energy to rewrite it because I kinda forgot what it said anyway... here is a post devoted to my little hunk o' love!!!

No.... not Eric but my little Murph man. I promise I do not favor this boy but he is in such a cute stage of life I must admit... he is on the camera WAY more than the other kiddos! You will laugh when you see how many times he is sleeping on his HOT dad!!! And this is all within the last week. Ready...

Set......

Go!!!! (So do ya love the... "what the h" look on Eric's face?" He sincerely hates my camera! But wait...

There is one more. Probably not the greatest idea if I don't want him lookin like a red head!!! Just Kidding... I adore his red hair... his dad struggles with it because all the other boys are so blonde... he still thinks there is some hot red-headed hottie runnin around in Lehi!!! That orange blankie and daddy's orange shirt really highlight his gorgeous RED (or orange) hair!!! Eric looks a little tired in this one dontcha think?

So what's Murph up to these days besides sleeping on his dad's chest? Well he absolutely LOVES to crawl in and out of our coffee table. It is something that keeps him entertained for minutes (not hours.. no baby is entertained for hours right?)

Pure enjoyment... Can't you tell by his face... It might be also that he is free of a diaper. He escaped and I allowed it... only for a few minutes! He thought he was pretty funny crawling away from Mama!!!

And last but not least get ready....

Are you crying with me at this moment? Isn't he such a little man? I CANNOT.... repeat... CANNOT believe he is this big already! It's so stupid that I have these emotions but I think it's because he is my baby.... forever... maybe I should have Eric go and get reversed!!! HEHE!!! That would be another chapter of our life! Could you imagine him getting 3 vasectomy's!!! No but seriously... he is taking steps all over the place and just trying his darnedest to keep up with his brothers! He is precious... He is happy, funny and mischievous!!! I love my Little... or not so little... Murph Man!

Macee's Special Day

Today was the big day.... My princess got baptized and confirmed a member of the Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints! You were right Tiff, I am super glad I got all the pictures of her in her dress last week because with people everywhere... I didn't get many taken today.

So we started off the big weekend when my brother Clint and his family arrived in town. We always love hanging with them... I think we laugh ALOT the whole time. Well.. the kids wanted to get in the tub so we decided to put swimsuits on and let them have fun. Quayd nor Mays really understood why they needed swimsuits in a bathtub so theirs didn't stay on long.

My sister, Janet, her girls and my mom arrived shortly after. We all (all 18 of us) decided to go grab something at IHOP. I am not the best hostess and didn't have anything planned for dinner. It was a long, busy day with work and time just got away from me. I had good intentions but.... So that was pretty much a joke... IHOP that is. Waited 45 minutes to sit down, another 45 minutes to order and another 45 to get our food!! Live and Learn!!!
When we got back Jenny and Chris and their kids were here and we were ready to party. We didn't stay up too late knowing that today would be a busy day so all the adults got their own room and bed and this is how the kids slept! We had bought Madagascar 2 and they were totally content!
We woke up early and had the special day. It was wonderful! Macee and Kimmaree woke up bouncing off the walls and were so cute all day. They did think the water was a little chilly. Eric did such an awesome job. He was able to baptize and confirm both girls and I felt so blessed for the priesthood he holds. He is a great man! So here is 1 of only 2 pics I took of Macee all day!!! She is an angel! This was after we got home post... wet hair! The rest of the afternoon we spent with family.... eating good food, good pie, keeping great company... resting... playing air hockey, basketball and just visiting. It was super fun! This is a picture of my 3 boys and Clint and Kori's Quayd and Jack Jack... they were in Macees bed watching Cars!Macee and Kimmaree played Webkinz most of the night. We took a short break for our Cafe Rio we ordered and my brother came and whispered to me, "you need to come see what's on your computer..." That is when I found this...How sweet... it brought tears to my eyes!!! What sweet girls. We showed them how to use spell check and they finished their first journal entry. I wanted to record it now so Macee can look back and be proud of this day.... so in closing.... The Baptism Girls... written my Macee and Kimmaree.... straight from the mouths of eight years old.... grammar too..
"Today was the best day ever. Me and my cousin got baptized together it was so fun. We got baptized because we wanted to become a member of the church do you no what it is to be baptized? You get the gift of the holy ghost it is the most important gift you could ever get because this one cannot be broken. When I got baptized Kimmaree got baptized first and Macee did second. Macee got the gift of the holy ghost 1st kimmaree got it 2nd this was the most important day of are (our) lives if we follow the comments (I think they meant covenants or maybe even commandments...) so we can live with God again if you make a mistake you can repent some of the things you can do to make God proud is pray read scriptures every night be nice to every one and just be you and not some one your not. (This is where they forgot to do spell check) We rote this story on the day of are babtism Feb 7, 2009 some day we hope to pole (pull) these papers out and show are (our) kids and it can be a life long thing Kimmaree and Macee were 8 years old when they got babtised by Eric he is really nice he held Kimmaree under really long and Macee longer we am really glad we got babtised together and kids if you find this and we are no longer here you may take them!"
I asked them what that meant and they said after they were dead. Isn't that sweet? I seriously copied that straight off the paper. Hopefully you don't think I spell and have the grammar of these 2 adorable 8 years old. Love you Macee and Kimmaree!!!

Party Time

So.... I am going to be a little lazy on Macee... as most of you know I do a big slideshow with photos form the past year. Well... I figured we got her baptism photo shoot and I am sure after the actual "big baptism" day we will have another and then we had her party so... we won't go "slideshow" overboard. Friday night we had 15 of her bestest friends over for the big bash. My awesome friends Danika and Shelby Page came and did "glitter toes" for all the girls. It was a hit. We painted fingernails and did Makeup to boot! There was much dancing, singing, giggling, screaming and of course with 15 girls there were a few tears but all in all it was a great time. Thanks to my mom, Denice and Sommer for being there to help out! Enjoy the show!!

I copied my friend Kelli (thanks for the idea) and decided to jot down some of Macee's favorites for the year:

Favorite Food: Cafe Rio
Favorite TV Show: Wizards of Waverly Place and Zach and Cody
Favorite Movie: Harispray
Favorite Thing to do: Dance and Shop
Favorite Song: Good Morning Baltimore or I Can See the Bells
Favorite subject in school: Math
Favorite Treat: Cookie Dough shake

My 8 favorite things about Macee:

1. She is my only girl or shall I say Princess
2. She is so kind hearted to everyone
3. She is extremely smart
4. Probably our most athletic kid - she tumbles like NO OTHER!!!
5. She loves to try new hairdo's!
6. Her and I spend alot of girl time just shopping - oh how fun!
7. She has started to wear athletic shorts and look "athletic" rather than just dance attire (is there a chance?)
8. I love HER... everything about HER!!! She is a special young lady that amazes me daily!!!
