Thought of the Day....

So... I think someone should invent a Sharpie with a child lock. Either that or I need to purchase a straight jacket for my 2 yr old. Don't ask... just picture... brand new furniture to decorate brand new home with brand new walls! Cuss word... cuss word... cuss word! Anyone have any brilliant ideas to remove?

Have a great Friday!

Someone told me last night that her kids used sharpies and it bled through on her table. She was able to use rubbing alcohol to get it out. But she said beware cuz it will ruin the finish on certain surfaces.
Good Luck! Love the Mayser (is he still alive after his decorating spree?)

I googled and found this:
"My 2 year old got a hold of a thick black permanent marker and covered EVERYTHING in the living room. Toothpaste was amazing. It got it off of the hardwood floors, entertainment center, plastic toys, coffee table, rocking chair…every non-fabric surface."
"Hairspray - dab, don't rub"
"magic eraser on hard surfaces"

I love you girls! Thanks Traci!! Em - I guess I should be more secure with myself and write what I was thinking rather than cuss word!

Um hand sanitizer might work. It works on dry erase boards. But not sure about sharpie?

Try Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. I swear by it.

Crapt! Well, it can be some art in your front room. If you look at it like this, one day you will want the marks there. Good luck!

Shyann did the same thing. Be very careful if he got in on wood!!! I tried to get it off a wood cabinet and I felt like I was making it worse with the rubbing alcohol. If it's on leather, there is a leather cleaner stick thing that is supposed to work well, I just haven't been able to find one to try it out. Hairspray also. I'm dumb enough that Shyann has done this twice.

Ditto to the magic eraser. It's awesome. Locke decided to picasso the walls with his purple marker, and it took it right off. I'd go get a Costco sized one!

Okay been there. Those magic erasers from the Mr. clean guy get a lot off the walls and then I just paint it with touch up paint, I keep paint on hand for those mishaps, if it is furniture there is this stuff from melalucea s/p anyway I have some I could send your way it gets it mostly out but smells funny.

Hey...this must be something all children do at some time or another. Jayla just did it to my newly refinished cabinets. I had to read your comments to see what was suggested...

I tried the magic eraser. She used 3 different markers, and the red one is still there.
I'll try the toothpaste next.

Any progress with cleaning up your art work?

Your kids back-to-school pictures are sweet. Macee just keeps getting cuter and cuter!
