My Dearest Murph Man,
Oh my sweet baby boy! I cannot believe that you are 2 years old. You have brought so much love and joy into this home. You are so loved (spoiled rotten) by all your family and family's friends.

When I first found out that I was pregnant with you I was shocked and mentally not prepared for another baby. Daddy and I had decided after we were surprised with
Mayser we were done with our family. You, on the other hand, had other plans for us didn't you little man!

My first feelings were, "This poor little child (not knowing if you were boy or girl) I will never be able to spend the time with you that I could with your older brothers and sister". Mays was only 7 months old when I found out I was pregnant with you. I would hug him and love him and apologize that he would have to grow up so quickly after you were born. You weren't our first surprise baby and having 4 of you so close, I was so scared and worried about giving you all the time you needed.

After I got past the shock of being pregnant, I was so excited, knowing that I was going to have another little girl. I always told people that I was sure the reason our Heavenly Father was sending me another baby was so that I could have another little princess. When we did the ultra-sound both Mick and
Macee were with daddy and I.
Macee cried, and I quickly LOVED the idea that you would be able to be best friends with your brothers. I've always said many time, "Heavenly Father sent a good one knowing well that I needed a good baby in order to stay sane." You came quickly. Mommy was only in labor for a couple hours and you were a perfect little handsome man. Quickly loved by all your family. You were the most fabulous baby. Started sleeping through the night quickly and just loved to sit and play and watch the crazy life around you.
Every time I would try and feed you, your big brothers
McGwire and Mays were right on top of me. I was feeling a little crazy and overwhelmed and decided that a bottle might be the best way to go for you. I also went through several emotions wondering if this was the right choice. The doctor agreed it was a good idea. The hormones in Mommy's body settled down and Mick and
Macee were thrilled to be able to feed you.

Your oldest brother Mick quickly became your best friend. And if I were to ask you today you would say in your sweet little voice, "Mick E is my best fend mommy." I still look at you in awe. I think all the way back to the day I was worried you wouldn't get as much attention as the other kids and now realize that you are more loved than life itself. You have brought so much joy and smiles into this home. Your brothers and sister worship every little cute thing that you do. You are brilliant (potty trained by 2), speaking in adult language and trying to keep up with everything that goes on in this house. You have been to over 100 baseball games in your life and you will see 1000 more.
Opening day for the MLB was the other night and every time we would change the channel you would cry and scream until daddy changed it back. You live with a bat and a ball in your hand and beg for anyone that will play catch with you. You LOVE baseball. You ask every day, "We go to Micke and daddy baseball game today mom?" You know how to pitch, what a catcher, pitcher, safe, strike is.... you idolize the game (surprise surprise). Every time Mick and his friends are here they love to play baseball and laugh at how much you know.
I am so grateful Heavenly Father sent you to us Murphy. I cannot imagine life without your beautiful blue eyes and sweet smile in this home. You will always be my baby boy!
Love,
Mommy
