So, I was thinking about a new game plan. I proposed to Eric that we can lease out our little boys to friends and family for a small fee. This will teach y'all a little more parental patience and get them out of my hair!!! Just kidding! Wow is it crazy at the Madsen home! I always said, "What's 6 when you have 5." Well, little did I know, it's alot more of everything. All the little boys are soooo happy to have Baby Murphy here but they love, love, love him! Always climbing on everything to get to him, trying to pick him up or carry him around. We have to be watching out constantly! Eric and I just look at each other and wonder how the heck we will survive the next few years! My dear sweet mother, whom I LOVE.. has been here helping since I had the baby. My house has never been cleaner and my laundry has never been so caught up. Eric told me the other day, "you may want to consider asking your mother to stay for another 2 years!" This is his mother in law he is talking about. I dread the day she goes home. I know I will be crying like a 2 year old.
I won't bore you on the whole labor details but it was short and painful! Checked in around 3:30 had baby around 7! The baby slept awesome at the hospital (which he is not doing at home) and I got much needed rest. One night around 11 pm a nurse from a different floor came in and said, "your friends, Carrie and Jason Christensen, are here seeing another patient and were wondering if you were awake. Eric being the smart A that he is said, "we don't know them." Anyway, they came in and we laughed and visited with them for the next hour. The next day, her and her little guy, Jaxon, came by and brought the most adorable thing ever. If you look in the photos below, Mays has a TINY little Yankees jacket. It is a little too small for him but we needed a model and it doesn't quite fit Murphy yet. (Fall ball it will!) Could you just die. So adorable... Thanks a ton. Eric has to show it to everyone that comes to see the baby.
We had several friends and family visit us in the last few days and we love them all. I have an awesome friend Emily who has volunteered to come every morning when my mom leaves. Little does she know, I am taking her up on that! (just kidding). I love all the family support! Murphy is having a little hard time adjusting to life outside the nice, warm belly. He is not sleeping well and just a bit discontent. We are praying, for both he and my sanity, that he adjusts soon! Aside the fact we are pretty much scared ****less for the craziness this has brought us, we feel soooooo extremely blessed that we once again have a healthy beautiful newborn in our home. Holding a new baby in your arms is Priceless. You all know what I am talking about!!!
Mick left for Idaho today for a baseball tourney. He rode down with our friends the Christensens and the Smiths. I have to formally blog my thanks to Jason and Craig (yes, no wives). What 2 adult men would take three 10 year old boys and then be awesome enough to invite my 4 yr old Maddog. Maddux was sooo excited to take a roadtrip with his older brother and his new friend Jaxon and kudos to the guys for taking him. He really needed his own time and this has been awesome. Grandma Vicki will meet them down and take care of the boys until they come home tomorrow. Besides learning all the bad words (HAHAHAHAH) that Jason and Craig have to teach him I think that he will come home a better man!!
THANKS AGAIN!!!

Congrats!! Murphy is way cute!! Sounds like you have your hands full. Good luck with everything.
You are so cute.... I loved reading that!! Isn't it so funny (and cool...) that Jason and Craig took the boys?? I love that.... It's too bad Eric couldn't go down with them, too. I called and all the guys (including Shane) were hanging out eating lunch. ha ha Next time us girls will go down..... (with no kids but Mick, Blake, and Bub) ha ha, again. Yeah, right. Jason and I loved going to see you guys that night. (even if you guys thought it would be funny to portray us drug fanatics...) You guys are so fun to hang out with. Thanks for letting us be there. I'm so proud of you... I have a hard time with my kids, and you are always taking care of yours with a smile. You looked fabulous, and that baby is just adorable. You're right...holding a new baby is just priceless. I loved it.... I can't wait for him to fit in his little Yankee jacket. :o) I think it is BEYOND awesome that your sweet Mom is staying to help you out. I'm jealous..... I'm sure she's loving being there with you though. I want to be that way when I'm a Grandma, too. The kids seem to just love your Mom. Well, this was a really, really long comment....but as always, I have a lot to say. Love you!
