My Tribute to the Wonderful Fathers in my life:

Today I want to pay tribute to the important fathers in my life. The first picture would be the picture Eric sent from Alaska yesterday, yes I said Alaska. He is doing his annual Alaska camp/fish trip. We miss him greatly on this day but know that he is having a good time. He kept saying that he wasn't going to go this year because he had been away so much this spring and wanted to be home to help out with all the "ball games" and family things going on. I told him he needed to go. This is the once a year he is on the road for himself! I hope he is having a good time (and keeping his distance from the Grizzly Bears!)

I put a picture of my dad with Maddog on his back and yes Maddog is flipping the bird, which my father told him to do. I love this man so much! Ya'all know I am a daddy's girl. I was so blessed to have a good, stern father growing up. The stern part really ticked my off in my High School years but wow I am glad he kept his foot down! Happy fathers day Dad!! And then the pic of Eric's dad, Dave, with all the grandkids around. The kids love to hang out with Grandpa Dave. He always comes up with crazy ideas for them to do!!! And McGwire even took the dustbuster out to the trampoline the other day! JK! Happy Father day Dave!!!
I decided for Fathers Day I would follow Jay Leno and list the top ten reasons Eric is the best husband/daddy in the world:
1. He spoils ME rotten!! Not the kids, he is against that, but me. There is nothing that I could want for that he would not give me. I know you are wondering what that has to do with him being a good dad but we found out a few years ago (after never leaving the kids for a vacation) was that the best gift we could offer our kids was a good marriage. They KNOW he loves me and he demands respect for their mother!
2. He changes poopy diapers. ALOT! (Not as much as when Mick was a baby though I must say).
3. I love his career. It's pretty safe to say we will ever never make it rich but who cares. The experiences that Mick has had with Eric's teams are irreplaceable. The friends and relationships we have made with these young men and now their families are irreplacable. I know that all my boys are going to grow up at a ball field which is a passion at our house. For them to be able to spend numerous hours with their dad while he is on the job, doing what he loves and what they love... is awesome! I am just really afraid that in a few years down the road having the title of bat boy might bring the little guys to fist fights. They will just have to take turns.
4. He is a playground for the kids. These boys can get pretty rough and I am glad Eric gets the role of playground/horse/WWF man!
5. Not only does he cook... but he also cleans for us afterwards. Macee things her dad is the best pancake maker ever.
6. When our kids come in at 2 or 3 in the morning and I am ready to scream and yell to get out of the room he will just pick them up and throw them in bed and let them snuggle close.
7. He is a good example of a priesthood leader to my boys.
8. He spend endless hours in the backyard playing wuffel ball (how do you spell that?) with ALL the kids. It may be because in the back of his mind he is dreaming of making one of them draftable but nonetheless they love it.
9. My kids know without a shadow of a doubt that they are loved by Eric. He is a cuddler, comforter and snuggler for them!
10. He is the sexiest man alive! I told him just the other day - he is getting sexier each year we are together!
I love this man, my kids love this man and we are so glad he is OURS!!! Happy Fathers Day Eric!!!

Ha! I laughed out loud when I saw that picture of your dad. I thought with all those grandkids maybe he'd mellowed out on the swearing & dirty gestures, but apparently not!

Looks like you have some wonderful men in your life, you're so sweet to honor all of them!

Jessica- There are a few ways that you can change your header... I use a program called scrapbook max to create mine... I got the software free cause I signed up for Digital eXpress where I download tons of cute scrapbooking stuff for a really good monthly price! If you have anything like photoshop or anything like that you can design something there too... If not, just email me some pictures and I could make one for ya! Let me know if you need any help!

Jess,
Great pics and a great tribute to the father's in your life! Happy Father's Day, Eric!

Thanks so much for hanging out with us a couple Saturdays ago. It was nice to finally meet you - you guys are great! And Mays is adorable!

Dave and I were cracking up when we read the post about "a trip to the past" and your comment about Cache. I think he's gained another couple of pounds and grown another inch or so since then!

I can't wait to meet the rest of the kiddos and look forward to Abby and Cache having little Madsen buddies to run around with. We'll see you all soon!

I love what you wrote about Eric and your own Dad...and Eric's Dad, too. You're lucky to have so many great men in your life. :o) I love the way your Dad is with all your kids. It's really amazing. Also, I talked to Eric's Grandpa on Saturday and told him how much it touches my heart that he comes to support Mick the way he does. I told him how much I loved and miss my Grandpa....so i love to see how he is with your kids. He told me he'd be my kids' Grandpa, too. I thought he was adorable. What an amazing man he is, too. Well, Happy Father's Day to Eric. I'm glad he's having fun. Have a good week.

Holy cow! I don't know how I stumbled upon your blog but what an adorable family!!! Your little kidlets are so precious. What an amazing women to be a mommy to 6! Your new little guy looks like he is going to be a redhead, you are so lucky! My husband has red hair and I was sure that meant I was going to have at least one with red hair, but nope. So are you guys in Lehi? What part? My brother in law and his family live in Saratoga Springs. It was good to come across someone I knew from high school. Feel free to stop by my blog:
