I am officially crazy. It is 2:45 am and I just finished packing for our weekend trip to Cleveland. I have to work in the Price office tomorrow and then Chloe is getting blessed on Sunday! I knew I needed to do Maddogs birthday post today because if not, it would get put off (like the last 2 weekends) and I couldn't do that to my 5 year old!
Because we are leaving tomorrow we did a little celebrating today! We woke up early and went to breakfast with one of Maddux's best buddies, Wacky! We ate at IHOP! Maddux ordered a cheeseburger (at 8 am). I thought he was crazy and when we all got our nummy food he changed his mind and ordered a short stack. We then went and bought him a new bike for his birthday! We ended the evening with a trip to the zoo (pictures to come soon).
I honestly love the heck out of this boy! He has grown so much over the past year. I mean seriously, I think about 5 shoe sizes!! Our home would not be complete without Maddog!!! We love you so much buddy! Happy Birthday!

Thank you for your sweet comment on my blog. I am so glad that the Hinkley family has such good friends to ralley around them as they travel down this new road they have been presented with. Those that provide that kind of selfless service to others will never fully understand how much all the big and little things truly touch the hearts of those they serve. It really honestly touches my heart to see so much goodness in people. To see how people rally around each other, even when we all have our own crazy lives, that others take time to check up on their friends and reach out to others.
I think the Lord sends us these kind of experiences to expand our capacity to love, for those we don't know and those that we do. I don't know the Hinkleys, but I feel so much love for them for their strength and the sweet spirit I feel when I see pictures of them gazing lovingly at that beautiful little boy. I will continue to pray for them. I feel love for you as well, for being someone that obviously has so much love for them that a message sent to them means so much to you. That is truly a Christ-like love and you obviously have a lot of it for them.
Thank you again! You have a beautiful family. May the Lord bless you for being a loving caring person and for reaching out to someone you don't even know!

Happy Birthday Maddog!! I loved going to IHop with you ....and so did Wacky!! We hope you're having a fun weekend...and that you loved riding your NEW bike. :o) I love that you want to take everyone to a Yankees game for your birthday party!!
