Crazy Weekend!!

I always have to start with a picture... you will read more about dance towards the bottom but I thought Macee looked like such a little ballerina in this pic!!!
It all started out when one of Mick's best buddies told him about this cool "arena football" thing and asked if he wanted to play. Of course.. it would start in February and go til April (which is when baseball gets in full swing) so it would be fun.... right? They would play on a week night and baseball is double headers each Saturday so we are good... UNTIL.. they pushed the league back a month and changed it so games were on Saturday which means to us.... 2 baseball games and a football game every Saturday for a couple months which is probably not the worst part but this coach likes to practice. And don't get me wrong... I think it's great... but between 2 baseball practices, 4 football practices, basketball practice and games each week... it makes for a tired 10 year old. But really.... he could care less. Loves every minute of it... until he has a chance to be the bat boy for the Wolverines.

We weren't able to go stay in Cedar this weekend because of all Mick's miscellaneous stuff and Macee's dance competition but we did sneak away last minute and drive down Friday afternoon to catch the game. Mick was super excited and it always makes him feel even better when all the players start cheering and saying things like, "Mick bud.... we have missed you," or "Dude???? Where ya been???" or.... "there he is... we have really struggled without you." These boys are awesome and Mick was right back in his element. He cried (which he doesn't hardly do) all the way from Cedar to Beaver... He wanted to stay with his dad for Saturdays game but had a football scrimmage, baseball practice and basketball game on Saturday. He actually did miss a football scrimmage and basketball game Friday night to go down. I have really struggled with this. It's something Mick lives for. Seriously.... as he was so upset, I told him... "You could quit it all bud... if that's what you want... I don't care... you can quit it all and be the bat boy, but at some point I think you will regret it." He was mad at me and it took everything I had not to turn around and let him stay but I am glad I didn't. He had sooooooo much fun with his football scrimmage and did well at his basketball game so... it's good!

When we got back to Lehi, my good friend Monica called and was coming to stay at my house. She was up doing wedding stuff for his sister and knew Eric was out of town so it was awesome... we stayed up until early morning just visiting and I got caught up on all the EC happenings!!! I am so glad she stayed.. it was super fun!

So this what the Saturday schedule:

7:00 - wake up and do hair and makeup for competition

8:45 - Take Macee out to Thanksgiving Point - took Macee out and came home to wake up little boys to get them ready to go.

9:45 - Macee's first dance

10:00 - Mick football scrimmage - thanks to Carrie, Jason and Shane who help me with this boy and his football constantly!!! I do appreciate you TONS AND TONS! Carrie is always calling and offering because she knows Eric is out of town and realizes how hard it is to pick up a kid from a 9:30 practice at night! I luv ya for that!

12:00 - Pick up Mick and feed him before baseball practice

1:00 - Mick Baseball practice

1:40 - Awards for dance competition - back to the barn!

2:00 - Amy, my coworker and friend, brought her mother who is going to be building a house by to get some ideas (which means I had to do some extra cleaning... which is fine AMY).

3:00 - Take Mick his basketball clothes. Ryan is always willing to help out with Mick too so he offered to take him from practice (which got over at 3:30) to his basketball game.

4:00 - Mick Basketball game

5:30 - Start doing makeup and hair all over again for dance competition!!! Take Macee out and get something for the kids to eat while we wait (Crazy she needs to be that early). Macee danced that night at 7:30, 8:30 and 9:12. Awards were at 10:30. It made for a super long night and my boys were pretty much done... along with me having to keep them occupied for 5 hours at a dance competition.

Here's a cute pic of Macee in her tutu for the ballet dance!!

And here is Macee with her BFF Alyssa waiting for awards! Their Mini Company did really well. They took 1st in all 4 dances receiving High Golds (98% or better) in 3 of them. It was super fun to see all their new stuff! And here is a little preview of Macee's trio. I was super bummed because my battery died right before she did her back tuck! Oh well... next time! She is on the far right!

Next weekend we do it all over again! Dance competition in Roy on Saturday. And the worst part.... Eric is in town playing a game Thur night, double header Friday and game on Saturday. (If anyone wants to catch a game be sure and let me know). It sucks that he is in town and I won't be able to even be there. At least when he's out of town I don't feel so much pressure to be in 2 places (or 3) at one time! They went 1-2 against Southern this weekend. Bummer!!!!

Last but not least, after starting sooooo many times on my road to weight loss.... I am going to do it. I have huge motivation. I have a couple friends who have me addicted to this new series. Yes... that would be One Tree Hill. So I joined NetFlix and have started watching and plan on getting all the series (5 of them) in. It's awesome. Thanks to Lacie for borrowing me season 3!! Tonight I went down after the kids were in bed and just watched my show and ran/jogged on the treadmill for an hour!!! It's easy to exercise when you are watching One Tree Hill! I am giving up pop... yes Carrie... that's right!! I heard Jillian on Biggest Looser the other night and I am taking the plunge (pray for me)! I need this so badly... never felt this bad about the bod!!! Wish me luck!

It sounds like your weight lose program has already started with all the running!!!!! Wow, Saturday's are going to be tough. But so worth the cute memories. Macee is so cute in her dance. I loved to watch it. I have always thought you are a amazing mom. You are. Karen

Wholey smoley moley!!! There is NO way I would be able to keep track of all of that!!! SERIOUSLY!

Way to go on the weightloss, me and Jeremy decided we are on that bandwagon too. We both are just sick of ourselves. I am going to water aerobics at 6 am on MWF if you want to go.

Keep it up, Macee was AWESOME! What some talent!

You are so Hot.
McCade and I are doing P90X. It rules. It's only been two weeks, but I can feel it working already.

I agree with Shauntel..you are hot. No need to diet..but I totally understand that we are alwasy harder on ourselves! I am training for a 5K and then a 10 K, a half marathon. These keep me motivated to get into good shape. Willie is no help with the food he eats!
Macee is so cute! I hope Lily likes dancing. That would be so much fun!!
And Good Golly on the schedule! wow! Busy lady!!

Hey! I missed a post somehow! :o) First of all....I love love love the ballerina pics of beautiful Macee. I can't wait until Bella gets to wear one of those tutus....even if it's for Halloween. ha ha It has been a crazy couple of months, huh? I'm so glad Matthew had that "time off" back between football and basketball. ha ha BTW, he's already saying he wants to start basketball earlier next year. Oh well. :o) I'm so excited for the boys to have their games...and I think they're learning alot, so that's a good thing. I hope Mick will be able to go on a road trip w/Eric soon though. It'll mean a lot to him, huh?? I know it would to Bub. BTW, he's already asking me to get him a pair of black sweats like yours. :o) As for the weight loss thing.... I agree w/everyone else. You look great. I have never thought you looked bad. You were a motivation factor for ME when we started that boot camp. I've told you that so many times. I think the carbonation thing will make you feel better. I thought it SUCKED, but I know that's why I lost weight at first. Jillian inspired ME, too. ha ha I remember reading that email the night before we started the boot camp. One Tree Hill is so much fun. I'm glad you're watching it. It'll keep you company when Eric is out of town. :o) Call me if you're ever lonely.... We can watch that show and eat some frozen yogurt. :o) K...I'm done commenting for NOW. ha ha
