Seriously.... I have been cussing the crap that has been going around (sickness) for the last 3 weeks. Finally Eric said to me today, "I guess that's what comes with 6 kids." Just when I thought we had had it all, strep, ear infections, colds, the "fever virus" we have a weekend like this. Eric played ball yesterday and Macee had a dance competition so we had to send Mick with friends (thank you, thank you, thank you) and leave the little boys at Grandma Vic's. Her house was only 15 minutes from Macee's dance competition; thank goodness. By the time I dropped them off, I thought we were good. Mays was the only one that felt feverish so I was happy about that. Grandma was watching Emilee's 2 little girls that day also so I didn't want to make her too crazy (6 kids that little is NOT easy) so I took Murphy with me. I kept calling to make sure things were ok. About the second time I called (around 11), Maddux had thrown up. I was in charge of another little gal on Macee's dance team who's mom was in Hawaii so I knew I couldn't have Murphy there and try and get 2 little girls changed and hair done in a matter of 3 minutes (they danced 7 times in 2 hours) CRAZY!!!! So.. I took Murph back to Vicki and Mays was burning up. I took him back to the competition with me because I felt soooo bad that she was having to take care of Maddux and his throw-up!
Their team did great! They took 7 1st place trophies and 1 2nd! But it was hard for me knowing that Maddux was home on Grandma's couch just miserable. He threw up 8 times yesterday. After we brought him home, he threw up 3 times in the middle of the night and 3 times as soon as he woke up. He will not eat ANYTHING and hasn't since yesterday morning and he has only drank a little. We have tried Gatorade, Coke, Chicken Noodle Soup.... the poor little man is MISERABLE. We have been super worried about him because he can't really move. Everytime he sits up or tries to stand up he cries in pain and says his belly hurts. Eric thinks it's just his tummy muscles from throwing up so much but a couple times we have wondered if we should run him to the hospital. He is finally sleeping now and Mick and Macee took Murph outside to play. I told him we would get a doc appt with Dr Sundwall first thing in the morning if he is still in pain. Mays has a fever over 100 again all day and McGwire is coughing so hard he almost pukes!!! 3 kids with 3 different things.
HEEEEELLLLLLLOOOOOOO!!!! I am done! These poor kiddos! We, once again, weren't able to go to church. Eric was going to take the older kids but then with the 3 of them sick and all wanting to be snuggled he wasn't able to. I am sure they have put us on the inactive list. Everytime Eric is home on weekends (which has been 2 times in the last 2 months) the kids are sick. But then again, they have been sick for 3 months straight I think!!!
Oh well... just thought I would vent for the 5 minutes of quiet I had today. I do have one confession.... I love the snuggles I get when my kids are sick. I haven't gotten out of my pj pants all day and have one or the other sitting on my lap loving me! I just pray that the throw-ups don't get passed around. I can deal with the other crap but HATE the flu! I HATE puking.... in fact I despise puking! After being pregnant 6 times and throwing up every day 8 times each pregnancy I don't think I should ever have to deal with puke again!!! I told Maddux this morning I shouldn't have let him go to Bostons last week. I told him Sommer must have gave him the throw-ups. My older kids looked at me really weird and then we giggled.
Thanks to Grandma Vicki. She is a real trooper to deal with my 6 kids!! We appreciate you tons!! Let's pray for a healthy week!

Ohhh, that is sooo sad. I am so sorry that your kiddo's have been so sick :( Hope they get better soon!
Oh! What a hard week for everyone. It makes me so sad when the little ones are sick. Karen
Did Maddog get his appendix out?
Poor Maddux. I can't imagine the pain he was in. I hope you told him how Wacky was so worried...and crying over his buddy being sick. We were really worried about him. I know what you mean about the sickness for the past few months. I'm about ready to scream myself. I have HAD IT. I'm sure I'm on the inactive list, too. Oh yeah....My husband is the Mission Leader, so he should be able to reactivate me, huh?? ha ha They don't have to send him TOO far. Oh well, it will all get better when the weather is warmer. (I hope!!) Mick was such a good kid on Saturday. He did really well in the scrimmage. I may have told you...but he went after a kid who was cheap shotting Bub. I thought it was cute. (if football can be cute...ha ha) I'll talk to you tomorrow, but I hope you're all able to get some good sleep tonight. (((HUGS)))
The joys of being a mother of six children. Hang in there. Spring is coming and then you can air out your house and hopefully remove all the germs. Hopefully all is feeling better and maybe we will see you all this weekend for Trent's wedding.
I thought he had to get his appendix out?
Jess,
Feel for you. Been there with five only though. Thinking of you- I always will pray and think of you you are a dear friend to me.
