Improvising...........

So... this is how the weather has gone the past few days.... wake up and it's GORGEOUS!!! Throw on the flip-flops WITHOUT a sweatshirt and take the kids to school. I come home and tell the boys.... "Yay, we can go to the park for a picnic lunch today if you're good." Take Maddux or Gwire (whichever day it is) to preschool and come home to tell the boys, "Can you hear the wind howling outside? Sorry, no picnic today."

So for those of you that have kids... it's pretty hard to get out of! Ya know.... telling your kids one thing and then not following through. So finally, yesterday Shari and I decided to improvise and still let them have their picnic. So can you guess where we are?

I know... bad picture.... but the GARAGE lighting wasn't too good.

Ok... I know.... I know... where the h did all the hair go? Well, Mick get's his buzzed bright and early for baseball season... he begs for it! So then Maddux wants to be like Mick and McGwire wants to be like Mick and Maddux and Mays wants to be like Mick and Maddux and McGwire so what does that sum up to? Alot of bald headed boys that unfortunately due to their light skin and hair.... look like little cancer patients!!!

I definitely learned my lesson on Mays (this is his first buzz!) Definitely using a "2 next time! Don't get me wrong.... my boys are studs but.... they are handsome little studs with a bit more hair. Oh well, it's only hair... it will grow back right?

And here is Shar Shar (that's what the boys call her) and Murphy enjoying their picnic.

So today was laundry day. Work has been insanely crazy and I have really gotten behind! I made sure that I set timers and I faithfully took the clothes out of the dryer and threw them in a pile on the floor as soon as they were dried.... are you ready for this? After 11 loads of laundry you would have LOVED to see my laundry pile! But.... after I was done working and fed my family (yes this was pushing 8 pm) I folded this heap of clothes taking over my laundry room. And while I was taking the 3 piles of towels to the linen closet I came back to find this....

I hope it didn't hurt when Maddux put him in. I am pretty sure he was cool with it because he was smiling and when I reached in to get him he DID NOT want to get out!

I guess I should just be thankful that the little boys can't reach up to turn the dryer on or aren't tough enough to shut it tightly!!!! That would be scary!!!

I almost forgot to mention. Guess who is in town this weekend! The Wolverine Baseball team. Aside from the crappy weather... we are so excited to be having our first home games. They have a double-header tomorrow. Game on Friday, Saturday, Monday and Tuesday! Good Luck Wolverines!!!

haha, cancer patients...boys aren't supposed to be cute, they are supposed to be "cool" and they are def. cool with a haircut like their older brother!? You are always improvising and letting them do cool things! I thought for sure all the couches would be put together and made a fort out of or something.

Lucas or Nate? That's what I want to know. That's so funny you like that show too. What's wrong with us? We are in our 30's for crying out loud. Cute baseball hair, and you deserve a medal for doing that many loads of laundry in one day!!

p.s. I'm a Lucas girl

I love their haircuts! My boys want the same short haircuts ALL the time. I don't mind...'cause it's so easy. Mays looked SO grown up!! I almost didn't recognize him without his hair... I had to take a 2nd look. (Which little Madsen was that....Hmmmmm.... ha ha) I hope you guys are having fun at the games. Bub is hoping you'll invite him to go with you really soon. He's dying to go...and he's dying to see his new idol jack it out of the park. ;o) BTW, I'm totally with you on the weather thing. I had to take my kids to the park the other day 'cause I promised them, too. It was FREEZING...and they didn't last long, but they had fun for a short while. I'm begging spring to HURRY UP!! :o)
