We Are Blessed!!!

So... the other day I had pulled up by the curve at my house... I do this so the boys can play in the garage and on the driveway! I reached into the back seat and got Mays out of his car seat. I then proceeded to get Murphy out of his car seat. Mays and McGwire were standing up on the seat in the suburban and just when Mays went to push on the door.... McGwire opened it. Fell 3 feet straight onto his head!

I panicked... Do I go to the ER? Call an ambulance? What do I do? Shari's mom is a nurse to she texted her. I grabbed Mays and drove him down to my fabulous friend Emily's. She is much older and wiser (hehe) than I... no just kidding... but I did figure she had older kids and might now a little better what to do with a goose egg... or in this case... a goose baseball!Shari's mom told us the basics, watch his pupils, make sure he isn't throwing up, make sure he is making sense. Don't let him go to sleep... put some ice on it! I called my doc while I was at Em's and left a message with the nurse. He was crying but acting totally normal! On my way back to the house I stopped by a gal in my wards house who is a nurse. She did the whole "pupil" test and made sure his eyes were following... and gave me basically the same advice as Shari's mom. So we went home! This is Shari and Mays later that night! Isn't she the cutest thing ever? And she LOVES my boys!So... as for the title. I realized at this point... 6 kids, 10 years... no goose eggs!!! Can we truly be more blessed and watched over? You all might laugh but I honestly thank my Heavenly Father every day for 6 perfectly healthy children. When I spoke with my doc we discussed several different things and he said to me... "If you or I would have taken that fall, it could have killed us... these kids are tough!!" This last picture was the next day (dirty face and all)! I love this little man and feel blessed that he wasn't hurt worse than his stylish baseball bump in the middle of his forehead!

Oh my gosh! That's more like a DINOSAUR egg!! That's no goose egg!! Poor Mays!! I would have freaked out, too. He's such a tough guy.... It makes me cringe just thinking about that fall. Yikes. I'm so glad he's OK. :o)

BTW, I let Matthew, Jason, and Bella look at these pictures earlier this afternoon...and they were DYING over that bump and the story. So scary.... Bella kept saying, "Ohhhhh poor May!"
