Happy Hump Day!!!

To all my friends who need to get their head out of the gutter, hump day is Wed - ya know... the middle of the week!!! Anyway, today was McGwire's first official day of baseball camp. He is 3 years old and called his dad on the phone this morning and said, "I'm big daddy, please let me come to camp...." So we got him all duded up for camp (doesn't he look adorable) and off he went. He was super excited... Well - about 10:30 (camp started at 9), Eric called me to inform me he was done. He told his dad he was done and was ready to go home. I luckily had a meeting on 800 North at 9:30 and hadn't headed back to the house so I hurry and ran by and picked him up... he then played extremely hard the rest of the day with cousins and this is what I found when I was getting everyone ready for bed.... I love you big man!!!And this is Mick's war wound from bball camp. I know it just looks like an every day raspberry but it is really swollen and puffy! I remember when Eric and I were dating and we did a coed softball tourney (believe it or not, that is actually how Eric and I met) and I slid with shorts on. It hurt like a bugger and mine, like Mick's, also swole up really bad. Sorry bud - I would say it makes him look tough but his dad told him it just makes him look like an idiot. He had asked one of the instructors at the camp if he could dive for balls on the warning track... Hello Mick.... maybe next time he won't be trying to show off!!!This is my two little guys and our friends, Joldy and Megans, 2 little girls. Joldy played for Eric down at Eastern Utah and then played in the Rangers organization for a few years following. They just had their 3rd and final little girl and had had to make a trip to Utah to go to the airport. They stopped by to let us see the new addition and we had alot of fun visiting. Their little girls are adorable!!!

This afternoon most of the Madsen cousins came over while the big cousins floated down the Provo river. After awhile we weren't sure how to keep them busy so Maddog had this great idea that he wanted to paint the new horse that our friends, the Mortimers had given us. This was an awesome hand-me-down. There has been a kid on this thing since it was brought over last week. Thanks guys! But Maddux did point out that it needed a new paint job so we got out all the paints and let the kids go at it. It occupied them for over a half hour. They were covered with paint from head to toe!

This was the finished product. Isn't it beautiful. I had to giggle at cute little Peighty. She had all these boy cousins that took of their shirts and she decided to hang right there with em! You go girl!
This is the newest addition to our family. The kids have named him Melky!!! He is the rock chuck that lives in the pile of wood outside the front of our new house. He is really huge and it is exciting to see him. He is pretty shy and goes away quickly so we have to try and find him upon arriving at the cite or we miss out...
I loved this pic. The other night it got really quiet around the house. I savor those moments so I didn't worry too much. After about 5 minutes I decided I better see what Mays was destroying so quietly and I found this in my shower!!! It was so darn cute and they seriously stayed in for another 10 minutes!
Last but not least here is my cute Mayser in Maddogs new hat he supposedly found (or as Austin would say, stole) from the field yesterday!
We had a great time at Cleveland Days. Right now I am just way frustrated because I put the cutest slideshow together on Photobucket and it won't work so I will have to go make another tomorrow. I am way too tired tonight! Mick has Tournament of Champions this weekend up in Heber City. This is the big tourney of the year. You have to qualify and since we are the reigning "champions" from last year's tourney we qualified. I am excited to watch some good, competitive bball!!! This is the top 8 teams in Utah and Nevada! Go Tigers!!!

Speak for YOURSELF on the whole Hump Day thing. ;o)

I loved reading your post.... It has been a long week, huh?? Matthew loved the camp, too. I'm sorry about Mick's leg. Bub told me all about it. He said it really hurt Mick....and he felt bad for him. Everytime I see cute little McGwire in his jersey it makes me smile. That kid is so stinking cute. I just love his guts. Your kids have such fun personalities. Mays is so funny when he yells at "Bubba". I know Matthew gets a kick out of it. It's hilarious.

I can't wait for the boys' tournament this week. I wish it were closer, but I love going still. I hope they win it all again.... It was so fabulous last year!! It'll be fun to hang out with all you guys.

Matthew loved what you wrote about him on my blog, by the way. His face turned about three shades of red though. :o) He loves you guys. Thank you for always being so nice to him....and for including him in SO MANY fun activities. Like you said, I'll have to give you his SS# so you can claim him on your taxes. Yikes.... I'm excited he's finally going to spend a day with me today. ;o)

Where in the world do you find the time? I can barely manage a paragraph every 3 wks. excluding cute pictures, slide shows and music!! Are you kidding me. Is there a drug I havent heard about. I am just wiping my tears after reading baby Mak, thank goodness I only have cancer! I don't have the strength for that. You are amazing the way you keep it together. See you soon on a baseball field near you!

I love the pic of your littlest baseball player! If only I could produce a boy for Eliot! He would either be wearing this same outfit or he'd be wearing camo.

your little McGwire is so cute!
I can't believe you guys are going to Disney Land again...we had our hands full with only three little ones. This year we gave Lego Land a try and we were impressed with how it is suited especially for younger children. WE enjoyed it. You guys will have a blast at the game! When we got back from our trip we saw your email about the Yankees game. Jer said, "We could go again!" ha ha
Have a fun vacation!!
